Welsh singer-songwriter, Chey, is set to release her 90s-esque alternative-pop ballad ‘Dirty Love’ in January of next year.
Taking influence from the likes of Amy Winehouse and Paloma Faith, Chey is offering a sound like no other in popular music at the moment. ‘Dirty Love’ was produced by David Ezra who worked with X-factor finalists, Reggie and Bollie. He mentioned: ‘I loved Chey’s voice and I was looking forward to working with her on the new single, I brought in Shakil Hussain, a songwriter also from London to join us and within a day we had written and recorded Dirty Love’.
‘Dirty Love’ flows between sultry, soulful lyrics, beautifully constructed melodies and a mesmerizing guitar riff, all blending together to make a memorable, highly listenable ballad. Chey’s debut single Dirty Love is intelligent Indie/pop at its very best.
